Funny Friday: How a normal person tells a story

Those who know me can attest to this all-too-relatable meme. When I tell a story, it’s never quick and you can definitely expect lots of context and detail!

“Jesus always used stories and illustrations like these when speaking to the crowds. In fact, he never spoke to them without using such parables.” Matthew 13:34 (NLT)

Funny Friday: Email or Bacon

My son passed this along to me. Pretty clever meme. I’ve come across a few pictorial instructions lately that have been equally confusing. These “helpful” images are not always very helpful when you’re in a foreign country and don’t speak the language!

“…Come, let us cast lots to find out…” Jonah 1:7 (NIV)

Funny Friday: Get my kids a Christmas present

So for those out shopping this weekend… If anyone is wanting to get my kids a Christmas present, they like groceries, electricity and water. 🙂

“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal.” Matthew 6:19 (NLT)

Funny Friday: Someone lost their Focus

Another funny meme and pun from my sister Cora. It appears that someone lost their Focus!

“Therefore, holy brothers, partners in a heavenly calling, keep your focus on Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession.” Hebrews 3:1 (ISV)

Funny Friday: You never know what you have until it’s gone

I can just picture the commercial…a person just finishes using the bathroom, reaches for the toilet paper only to find and empty roll, reaches forward to open the cabinet door where the extra toilet paper is kept only to find it empty too. Then…cue the 1988 Cinderella song “Don’t Know What You’ve Got (Till It’s Gone)”.

“These things will disappear…” Hebrews 1:11a (ERV)
