I love this little guy’s take on this math problem so much! “Jaden has one dollar bill, one quarter, and two pennies. How much money does he have?”

Funny Friday: Math Word Problems

My son sent this relatable math conundrum. 🙂 Anyone else relate? “How I see math word problems: If you have 4 pencils and I have 7 apples, how many pancakes will fit on the roof? Purple, because aliens don’t wear hats.”

“This extraordinary knowledge is beyond me. It is lofty; I am unable to reach it.” Psalm 139:6 (HCSB)

Hey Siri, What's zero divided by zero

Funny Friday: Hey Siri Zero Divided by Zero

The other day my son told me to ask Siri what zero divided by zero is.  This was her response…

“Imagine that you have 0 cookies and you split them evenly among 0 friends. How many cookies does each person get? See, it doesn’t make any sense. And Cookie Monster is sad that there are no cookies. And you are sad that you have no friends.”

Nice. Gotta love Siri’s sarcasm!  #FunThingsToAskSiri

Funny Friday: Funny Math

This was a homework problem for one my husband’s mechanical engineering classes.  I had to laugh…How is this even solvable?!  He showed my son, who is in the 4th grade and asked him if he wanted to help him solve it.  My son said “No!  I don’t know what that is!  I’m not in your grade yet!”  Ha!  Kids…gotta love ’em. 🙂

The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand.”  Psalm 119:130 (NLT)
