Top 10 Posts of 2022

“Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he uttered” Psalms 105:5 (ESV)

I hope your new year is off to a good start! This week I’m sharing the Top 10 Posts of 2022.  I sometimes like to take the first of the year to recount some of the top or most popular posts of the previous year.  I like to share them for a few reasons…

First, there are some new subscribers/followers who may not have seen or read these posts and might find some of them to be helpful.

Secondly, looking back also helps me to remember what God has done and is still doing through this website. I continue to hope and pray that I am making an impact with what I write and share. My hope is that looking back might help and remind you as well.

Lastly, it helps me (and hopefully you too) have ideas of how to pray based on what the current need or demand is, and when I know that I know how to continue to pray for others.  I pray very fervently over this blog, its content, and the readers. What people are frequently searching or clicking on can be an indicator of some of their needs. Whether it’s a need for spiritual growth, leading others to Christ or overcoming personal struggles, I can pray more specifically based on these posts and their popularity.

Take Some Practical Steps:

  • First, as you look through this list of most popular posts, please stop and take a minute to pray for one or more of the topics that stand out to you.
  • Next, please click on and read or re-read one or more of the posts from which you feel you may be able to receive some benefit or of which you might need some reminding.
  • Then take some time to remember and contemplate what God has done for you in these various areas of your life over this past year or previous years. Remembering what God has done can be an incredible motivator and wonderful gratitude prompt!
  • Pay it forward…if one or more of the following posts has benefited you, please consider sharing the post on your social media channels (sharing links are available at the end of each post). You can also forward posts to specific people you know who might benefit (you might prayerfully consider who to share them with).
  • Lastly, please pray for me this year to #1-continue to write content that will help others, #2-for me to have to right words at the right time, and #3-for the right people to be directed to my site for God to help them.

Here are the Top 10 Posts of 2022:

1. God From A to Z

Praise is important, but sometimes it’s difficult to know how to praise God. One creative way is to praise God from A to Z by praising God for one of his many attributes, characteristics, or personality traits. This post shares some practical ways you can do this and even provides some examples and a “cheat sheet” resource you can save.

2. Why Does Jesus Get So Angry at the Temple?

A student once asked me why Jesus gets so angry at the temple. I figured other people probably have similar questions, so I thought I’d share my response with this post and also give some additional resources here as well. This post discusses some of the reasons why he may have gotten angry, in addition to giving us an example of righteous anger without sin.

3. Biblical Examples of Waiting

Unfortunately throughout our lives, and often on a number of occasions, we will find ourselves waiting. Waiting can be an extremely difficult and sometimes painful process. There are several examples in the Bible of people who had to practice waiting for various things. This post contains some relatable examples from which we can learn and gain encouragement during frustrating periods of waiting.

It contains a few examples of when this prayer might be helpful in addition to a prayer that you can pray based on scripture.

5. Scriptures About the Lord is On My Side

So many people are unaware or forget that God is on their side. It’s easy to feel defeated and discouraged when we lose sight of this. Therefore, in this post, I share some scriptures to inform you and build your confidence in the fact that the Lord is on your side!

6. How to Pray for Unsaved Loved Ones

We are instructed to pray for our unsaved loved ones. Sometimes it’s hard to know how/what to pray. This post will give you some specific things to pray and give you an idea of what to expect when you start praying.

7. Praise is a Weapon

Praise will silence the enemy, give you strength and lighten your load, and save you from your enemies. Therefore it’s an effective weapon. You can fight the enemy and even your own negative feelings with praise. Praise creates an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to work and move and for God to answer prayers. This post discusses how you can use praise to help you fight.

8. Scriptures to Help When You Feel Attacked or Persecuted

It’s hard sometimes to deal with the attacks, even when you know the right way to respond (or NOT respond).  This post contains a list of scriptures that can be helpful and encouraging when you feel you are being attacked or persecuted.  It’s helpful to know that you’re not alone and that God has given you some encouragement and direction on this topic.

9. God’s Voice vs. the Devil’s Voice

Since you will hear different, and often competing, voices it’s extremely important that you learn to recognize the difference between God’s voice and the devil’s. This post will teach you how to distinguish between the two.

10. How to Use Our Spiritual Authority Against the Enemy

You have God-given authority which is backed by God’s power. It’s important to use that authority instead of sitting idly by waiting for God to move. This post addresses what it looks like to build your confidence and practically use that spiritual authority, especially in situations of spiritual warfare or attacks from the enemy.

Praying for you to be very Happy, Healthy & Prosperous in 2023 and all the years to come!
